Fall 2025, Careers in Education – I organized and hosted a poster fair where my students presented their literature reviews on career development issues related to their prospective careers.

My teaching practice spans diverse educational settings, including undergraduate instruction, international classrooms, and professional development workshops. I have designed and facilitated courses and sessions that draw on and nurture students’ experiences, promoting critical thinking and the real-world application of learning. Educational Policy Studies 202: Careers in Education
Department of Educational Policy Studies, University of Wisconsin–Madison
Fall 2024; Fall 2025

This course explores the meaning, value, and potential of an education/social sciences major for a variety of education-related careers in the contemporary workplace. It includes a review of theories of the relationships among education, work, skills and society, analyses of contextual forces shaping education and the labor market (the COVID-19 pandemic, technological advancement, and climate change), individual and collaborative assignments focused on developing key competencies (e.g., oral and written communication, critical thinking), and hands-on activities to provide practical tools for succeeding in college and the 21st century workplace (e.g., writing a cover letter, conducting literature reviews).

International Studies 523: Culture and the Global Workplace
College of Letters & Science, University of Wisconsin–Madison
Summer 2025

This online seminar provides a theoretical framework to undergraduate students while they participate in internships internationally. The course critically explores the role of culture in shaping human experience and understanding and engages students in discussions regarding global and cultural competence and the
challenges and opportunities of living and working interculturally. The course introduces students to basic principles of globalization and encourages students to integrate their academic coursework with their work experiences, career development goals and their personal skills and values.
